We have added Roku TV streaming so you can access your iPlayer/Netflix/Prime etc. Fill in your departure date when you first log-in and it will automatically sign you out of all your accounts when you leave so that nobody else can use them!

Plumbing issues were duly resolved .

The revised price per night from 1st February 2026 will be £95 (minimum length of stay being 3 nights). For stays of 7+ nights there is a £10 per night discount.

We have had a plumbing leak with the water supply to the cottage washing machine. This means that it is temporarily out of action. Unfortunately the access to pipework means that a full repair will require multiple days work and subsequent redecoration. All other facilities are as normal so there is still the possibility of booking the cottage but without an operational washing machine. We are seeking professional guidance due to the complexity of the job so cannot predict a completion date at this time.

If you do wish to book the cottage we would offer to do any laundry in our own machine meantime. This would obviously be at no cost to you.

From 1st February 2025 3 night to 6 night bookings will be charged at £93 per night. 7+ nights bookings will receive a £10 per night discount, so £83 per night. We will continue our policy of no price increases at more popular times of year.

There will be no changes to Half House Cottage pricing following the autumn budget.

We have opened booking dates up to the end of August 2025 at the same prices as 2024! We normally review our pricing in February but you can guarantee the same price as this year if you book before then.

It seems that a technical issue with our SSL certificate (if you know what that is) has meant that our site has been flagging security warnings on most people’s browsers for the past few days. Thanks to the lady who contacted us to point this out! Back to normal again now.
